Information - FAQ
The information collected when you place an order (name, email address, delivery address and telephone number if given) is used solely for the purpose of processing your order and I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
- With delivery companies to fulfil your order
- To comply with legal or tax obligations.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period.
Your credit/debit card details are not entered or stored on Handmade-by-Janet.com website, they are securely handled by Paypal
By submitting your information, you consent to the use of that information as set out above
How do I pay for an order?
You can pay by PayPal. If you wish to collect the item at an event, or pay by BACS please
To pay with Paypal, you do not need a Paypal account in order to pay by credit/debit card - just follow the 'pay with Paypal' instructions and you can enter your card details.
You will be taken to the shopping cart facility at Paypal, where you can pay securely by card or Paypal account if you have one. Paypal uses 128-bit SSL and powerful encryption so you can shop securely. Please note that Paypal have a limit of 10 guest card transactions before they require you to open a Paypal account.
Please make sure the delivery address in your Paypal account is up to date and correct. I cannot be held responsible for orders sent to out of date or incorrect addresses.
How quickly will I receive my order?
I aim to send items to you within 5 days of receiving payment if not sooner.
Please contact me if you require your order urgently and I'll do my best to get it to you in time. You can also choose Special Delivery within the UK if you need guaranteed and tracked delivery.

How do I purchase items?

Please contact me first if you need to make a return. Return postage costs will not be refunded (unless the item is faulty).
Under distance selling regulations, you may return items within 14 working days of receipt. They must be in original unused condition as supplied and you must keep a proof of posting or post by trackable means; if posted to you by Recorded or Special Delivery please return by the same service.
A refund will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the original goods or trackable proof of posting.
Bespoke items are not refundable
